Mushrooms of BC — We don’t talk enough about mushrooming north of the border, which is odd when you consider how similar the habitat must be. That may be due to the lack of an up-to-date British Columbia guidebook. If so, Andrew MacKinnon and Kem Luther have fixed that. They’ve written Mushrooms of British Columbia, an in-depth look at about 350 common species from throughout the province. They will be our guests via Zoom on Thursday, Jan. 12, as we kick off a new year of mycological presentations. It’s a hybrid meeting — anyone so inclined can join us in person at the Chico Alliance Church near Bremerton. The meeting and talk will begin at 7 pm.
